IAWP PRESIDENT VISIT SOUTH AFRICA




The President of the IAWP visited South Africa on the 4th of June 2013. She had a meeting with the Conference Directing Committee and with the Patron, the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service.
The conference directing committee treated Jane to a short visit to one of the biggest and historical townships in South Africa: SOWETO. This is the home of world renowned freedom fighters such as President Nelson Mandela. She also visited the memorial of the first victim to be killed during the school uprising in 1976, Hector Peterson.
